PIP (Parents in Preschool) is the organization for parents of children enrolled at The Preschool Workshop. PIP was established in 1997 and has grown successfully because of the greatly appreciated participation and dedication of The Preschool Workshop families. We strive to create opportunities for family socializing, and to provide ongoing support to the teachers and staff.

Our organization consists of the following committees, and their sucess depends upon the participation of parents.

WELCOME COMMITTEE – Personally calls new families during the first two weeks of school to welcome them into our preschool community and to introduce PIP.

ACTIVITY COMMITTEE - Plans and coordinates extra-curricular family activities occuring throughout the school year.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE – Researches and coordinates, with the guidance of Director and PIP co-chairs, fundraising events for the Preschool and PIP budget.

CLASSROOM PARENT REPRESENTATIVES - Work closely with the teachers and parents, with responsibilties that include placing flyers in the children’s backpacks, and assisting with coordination of classroom parties and events.

TEACHER APPRECIATION COMMITTEE - Coordinates special events to thank the staff for their efforts in working with our children during the school year.
